About what we make

What is an ionic copper dry brush?

A body brush with copper-rich alloy bristles set into a beech handle. Copper is naturally conductive — when it contacts your skin, it creates a mild ionic exchange that supports circulation and lymphatic movement beyond what natural fibre brushes achieve.

What is a Baltic amber gua sha?

A facial massage tool carved from genuine, single-piece Baltic amber — fossilised tree resin from the Baltic coast. Unlike stone gua sha tools, amber is warm to the touch, lightweight, and traditionally valued for its energetic properties.

What are the bristles made from?

A copper-rich alloy with a small zinc addition for resilience. The zinc lets the fibres hold their shape through years of daily use while preserving copper's conductive properties.

Is the timber handle sustainably sourced?

Yes. FSC-certified beech from South America and Southeast Asia. Beech is hard enough to resist warping, soft enough to feel warm in the hand, and dense enough to take a fine finish without sealants.

Where is the Baltic amber sourced from?

Along the Baltic coastline — the highest quality amber in the world — and shaped by hand in a small coastal town. Each piece carries the unique character of the resin it was formed from.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. All Möxche tools are vegan and cruelty-free. No animal products, no animal testing, at any stage.

How do I clean my dry brush?

Tap bristles against your palm after each use. If needed, gently wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid water or moisture entirely — copper oxidises and beech absorbs moisture.

How do I clean my gua sha?

Most days a soft dry cloth is enough. If oil has built up, a brief rinse and thorough dry. Always store in the leather pouch.

How long does a dry brush last?

Twelve months is the usual life with daily use. You'll know it's time when the bristles lose their spring — they should feel firm and even, not splayed.

Can I use the dry brush on my face?

No. The copper bristles are designed for the body only. For the face, use the Baltic amber gua sha — it's shaped specifically for facial contours and the more delicate skin there.

Skin & wellness

Using the tools safely

Is dry brushing suitable for sensitive skin?

Start gently and see how your skin responds. Some people with sensitive skin find lighter pressure works well. If you have eczema, psoriasis, or broken skin, consult your healthcare provider before beginning.

Can I dry brush if I'm pregnant?

Many practitioners recommend gentle dry brushing during pregnancy as it supports circulation and lymphatic drainage. However, always check with your healthcare provider first. Avoid the abdomen and use lighter pressure.

How often should I dry brush?

Daily. Three minutes, before your shower. The practice is cumulative — consistency matters more than duration.

Which direction should I brush?

Always toward the heart. Start at the feet and brush upward through the legs, then abdomen (clockwise), arms, chest, and neck.

Will dry brushing help with cellulite?

Dry brushing stimulates circulation and lymphatic flow, which can improve the appearance of skin texture over time. It's not a cure for cellulite, but consistent practice supports the body's natural detoxification and can make a visible difference.

I've never used a gua sha before — is it hard to learn?

Not at all. The basic technique is simple: clean skin, a few drops of oil, and outward-upward strokes at about 15 degrees. Our practice page has the full guide. Most people are comfortable within a few sessions.
